Writing this book was one of the hardest decisions of my life. For years, I stayed silent, swallowing words, memories, and emotions I never shared with anyone. I didn’t stay quiet out of fear, but out of love. Love for my family, for the memory of my father, and for the hope that time would give us another chance to find peace.But silence doesn’t heal. Sometimes, holding back the truth only prolongs the pain.The Halfway Bridge wasn’t written to attack or divide. It was written to heal. To put into words what so many have lived through in silence. To tell my story, from my perspective, with the only tool I have left: honesty.I know some people close to me may feel hurt. I know there are those who would rather certain topics stay buried. But this book isn’t an accusation. It is an act of love toward myself, my daughters, my wife, and anyone who has lived something similar.Every line was written with respect.
